Supporting Social and Emotional Learning with Media
​This graduate course is designed for speech-language pathologists, guidance counselors, social workers, school psychologists, occupational therapists, and teachers working with students on social learning concepts. This course will review the connection between social language and academic performance, specifically the impact of poor social cognition on reading comprehension and written language. This course will highlight Social Thinking® vocabulary and a framework for intervention using age-appropriate storybooks and short films that can be integrated into your lessons immediately.
